It was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to visit The Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon this week to speak to its Curator Stuart Orme and see its new exhibition “Women of the Civil Wars”. Located right in the heart of Huntingdon Town, just off the Market Square the museum is a small but incredibly valuable resource in documenting the life and achievements of Oliver Cromwell, arguably Huntingdon's most famous son, but not its only former Prime Minister!
The museum has an incredible collection of artefacts from the period and offers an incredible insight into the English Civil war and Cromwell's life. It is a hugely popular attraction an an important historical resource for local schools.
It was fantastic to hear of the museum's future plans and I look forward to helping Stuart achieve these goals over the coming years.
