Prostate Cancer is a subject very close to my heart. 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. That figure doubles to 1 in 4 if you’re black. If you have a family history of prostate cancer you’re twice as likely to be diagnosed with it.
I tick a lot of these boxes, and currently get myself checked via a PSA test every 6 months. I would encourage every middle-aged man to get themselves checked over.
The news about Sir Chris Hoy’s terminal diagnosis shows that anyone can be affected. Make sure you, or someone you love, gets themselves tested.
