Earlier today I met with Dylan Underhill, Head of Public Affairs (UK & EU) for Cruelty Free International.
Cruelty Free International are committed to creating a world where nobody wants or believes we need to test on animals.
Dylan contacted me in response to my visit to LabCorp during the Summer in order to discuss the potential solutions to animal testing as well as the pathway towards non-animal testing and fulfilling the Labour Government’s pledge of ending animal testing.
As the MP who has both animal testing (LabCorp) and dog-breeding (MBR Acres) facilities in his constituency I do feel a certain weight of responsibility towards addressing this issue. Having already written to Lord Vallance, the Minister in charge, I will continue to challenge the Government and press for them to outline their plans to tackle the issue.
