It was very moving to have the opportunity to visit Huntingdon's new crematorium and find out about the work that the team there do in order to make such a difficult occasion as easy as possible for bereaved families and mourners.
Helen and Billy were kind enough to show me the whole facility and explain how the new crematorium has been designed with those attending entirely at the forefront. They helped dispel some of the myths about the process and explained to me the nature of the work which sounds incredibly challenging and emotionally vey difficult. Having never thought too closely about the process it was a humbling experience to hear about their work first hand.
The facility is a significant success for Huntingdon Town Council and an achievement that both they, and those who work there, can rightly be very proud of.
