We sat down with Ben at Conservative Party Conference 2022 to discuss his time in the infantry during the most intense period of war fighting for the British Army, having deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and we also get an interesting perspective to diversity in politics, as a black man who has fought in elections. In addition to his political activities, Ben serves in a voluntary capacity as a member of the Veterans Advisory and Pension Committee, working to improve the lives of veterans and servicepersons. He also serves as a Trustee of Esher Sixth Form College.
