Today I met with Matthew Sowemimo, Interim Associate Head of Policy, and Rani Govender, Policy and Regulatory Manager, for Children Safety Online at the NSPCC.
A very valuable and eye-opening meeting that highlighted just how important it will be to ensure that forthcoming legislation on AI as well as existing legislation in the Online Safety Act, keeps up with the pace of technological developments and ensures that legislation is not outstripped by the pace of technological change.
Keeping children and young people safe from dangers and harms online will be increasingly important over the coming years and we must be vigilant to the nature of the threats posed.
