Had a great visit to Brampton Kids Club this afternoon to see how they offer after-school provision.
Hugely interesting to meet the children the staff and the Headmaster and see why demand is so high and the club is currently oversubscribed. Having been a fixture at the school for so long that some of their alumni have grown up and sent their own children there, it’s fantastic to see it thrive.
My thanks to Nick for the invitation and for talking me through some of the challenges they face and the threats posed by some of the measures due to be implemented in the coming months. It would be a huge shame if the future of the club was jeopardised.
Also very pleased to be presented with Brampton Bear, who will now be making his way to Westminster to see whereabouts in the Houses of Parliament he can pop up.
