With the approval of 1,000+ new homes off Ermine Street, 1,500 new homes as the next phase of Alconbury Weald at Grange Farm North and proposed plans for 500 new homes to the south of Sawtry, it is essential that the developers meet their commitments.
As your MP I will work with our Town and local Parish Councils to ensure that the developers provide the community infrastructure they have committed to in Lower Stukeley, with a new primary school, SEN provision, local shops, a community centre and sports pitches as well as upgrading the A141 roundabout to manage additional traffic and ensuring that in Sawtry the village gains a a much-needed new GP surgery to alleviate the pressure on current appointments and increase the capacity to meet the growing local population.
It is vital that the significant number of new developments across the constituency do not come at the expense of the infrastructure and amenities used by existing residents.
