Today I had the chance to pop-in to the Royal British Legion St Ives branch’s regular catch up that takes place on the third Friday of the month. Fantastic to get to speak to some of our local veterans and say hello. I’ll certainly be back for a proper visit soon.
A great chance to also catch up with the Armed Forces Covenant Officer for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and look to how we can ensure that the role is given the opportunity to have a real impact.
As a veteran myself, and particularly in the lead-up to Remembrance Sunday, it’s hugely important that our veterans community is given the support it needs.
