Very informative to meet with local GPs and hear about the challenges they face in General Practice, particularly with regards to patient caseloads and the current GP contract.
It’s vital that we set the conditions for GP practices to thrive, especially with the speed at which our local population is growing across Huntingdonshire. GP access is consistently raised as an issue and speaking to doctors the Government’s pledge to increase the number of appointments comes with significant caveats that must be addressed.
