Out this afternoon near Sawtry with Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) on Op Chambers.
As the MP it’s hugely important to gain an insight and an understanding of the specialist police work and knowledge involved in tackling rural crime.
I’ll be pressing the Government for a review of the funding formula that would enable this team to be better resourced to increase their presence across the county and also for the government to provide funding for the National Rural Crime Unit (NRCU).
